Cricket Albury-Wodonga chairman Michael Erdeljac has outlined the odds of the association completing the season during the peak of Victoria's COVID scare last year.

A highly-respected figure in the association for his ferocious work ethic, Erdeljac is also a well-known punter and was quizzed about the odds of completing a season just over six months ago.
"We were close to 100-1, we didn't know what we had to do until August to play," he admitted just minutes after Lavington's grand final win over North Albury.
"Once we found out what we needed to do with the COVID guidelines, the work done by certain club presidents and board members was absolutely amazing.
"Some of the documents were 20 to 25 pages long and I'm proud to say we were the first association to play cricket in October."
CAW is still on a high after 270 people attended the Hall of Fame dinner on Wednesday night, a monster crowd for a midweek event.
