Unlike this time last year, when the first coronavirus lockdown still felt surreal, the leisure options for residents and visitors seemed almost endless over Easter.
Regular annual events adapted as they could - while the Golden Horseshoes Festival couldn't hold its popular parade, organisers added live theatre and more family fun to the program.
And as festival committee chair Jim Didolis pointed out, "there wasn't one sad face".
Hundreds of children hunted for eggs in central Wodonga and the region can be proud of its contribution to the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
The Koschitzkes celebrated 100 years in the southern Riverina with a gathering in Brocklesby while numerous other families came together to enjoy each other's company.
