Matthew Douglas appeared in Albury Local Court on Thursday.
He did not make an application for bail.
His matter will return to court on April 20.
EARLIER: Police have charged a man who allegedly stuck up a taxi driver with a screwdriver in North Albury.
The 20-year-old was picked up on Mate Street about 5.45am on Thursday.
As he got out at Plover Street, he allegedly took out a screwdriver and demanded cash.
The driver compiled and the man took cash, a mobile phone and an EFTPOS machine.
Police were notified and were told the man had broken into a Calimo Street home a short time later.
He was found hiding in a cupboard before being arrested and charged with armed robbery and other offences.
He is due to face court on Thursday afternoon.
