While the Uiver Memorial Community Trust won't go anywhere near fixing one million bolts, they have achieved much.
Project manager Russ Jacob said people could inspect progress at an open day today, from 10am to 2pm.
"We're going to do guided tours at 11am and 1pm," he said.
"The project is moving along really well - most of our work at the moment is at the back of the plane.
"People are free to wander through, and if they want to help in some way, that's even better."
The project was able to purchase a 48-by-30-metre hangar in 2019 accessed off Bristol Court.
"We had some major events earlier in the year," Mr Jacob said.
"We couldn't do much due to COVID, and we're at the point now where we're trying to raise our profile."
