North East Water uses a 50-year plan (the Urban Water Strategy) to ensure there is enough water for the community's needs and is reviewed every five years.
It was most recently adopted in 2017, so 35 people from across the region are being sought to check in on its aims and delivery.
The May 15 gathering in Wangaratta will also check-up on the Corporation's eight year Price Determination set in 2018.
NEW Executive Corporate Services Anthony Hernan said it showed how prices were set up to 2026.
"We're taking this opportunity to engage with our customers and communities on how we're progressing against the customer commitments that we made in 2018," he said.
"We'll be revisiting the twelve customer outcomes that were developed as part of the Price Determination.
"Our internal results show we're tracking above our targets in most areas, and the forum will be a great way to check with customers that we are hitting the mark in key areas.
The participants need to be aged over 18 and live in a north-east Victoria community.
IN OTHER NEWS:
An independent company is being used to recruit forum members and each participant will receive $100 for their time.
People can register their interest via www.newater.com.au/ywys with registrations closing on Wednesday, 21 April 2021.
