Police had appealed for help to find Joshua John Miller, 28, and Rhiannon Stanford, 24.
The pair were recently taken into custody by Wodonga officers in what police said was a "high-risk incident".
They were extradited to Albury Local Court, where Miller was jailed for dangerous driving.
Police had received a call about 9.30am on February 5 about a silver Ford sedan travelling without plates.
The car was spotted by police at the Lavington McDonald's.
Officers spoke to Miller and tried to use their vehicle to block his car amid concern he would flee.
"The accused has used the opportunity to drive off from the police," the court heard.
He turned left onto Griffith Road and sped on the wrong side of the road.
He travelled at up to 90km/h in the 50km/h zone and was last seen heading north on Urana Road.
Police did not pursue the car, as it was too dangerous to do so.
Miller was fined $1300 by magistrate Richard Funston and jailed for five months.
He was also banned from driving for 18 months.
Meanwhile Stanford has elected to contest charges of ice supply after allegedly being found with 44 grams of meth last year.
Police allegedly caught her with the drug at Burrumbuttock on May 24.
She was allegedly found with $822 in cash.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Those charges will go to a hearing on May 26, but Stanford has admitted to an assault.
The victim in that matter had known Stanford for about two years.
He had been walking with a friend towards West End Plaza about 4pm on December 22 last year.
As the man was near the entrance, Stanford asked how he was going.
"It's your fault I'm on a 15-month good behaviour bond," she said before calling him a dog and punching him in the jaw multiple times.
She continued to swear and the man jumped over a garden bed and ran into the shopping centre to avoid further blows.
The man and his friend gave statements to police.
Officers had tried to find Stanford at homes in Eastern Circuit, Mate Street and Thurgoona Street and a warrant was issued.
A sentencing assessment report was ordered before the matter returns to court.
