Police on both sides of the border are investigating a string of overnight thefts from cars.

Vehicles and trailers in Baranduda and Wodonga were targeted from Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Residents in Lavington reported having their cars broken into in the car park near Woolworths during the same period, and similar incidents were reported in Beechworth last week.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Simpfendorfer said a black Holden VT Commodore was thought to be involved in the Wodonga offences.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We're still assessing CCTV," he said.
"At this stage we're looking at a series of approximately 15 thefts from cars.
"If people are victims and haven't report it, we want them to report it.
"Their incident may be the one we need to link them all together."
Most of the vehicles and trailers were unlocked and were targeted for tools.
NSW and Victorian investigators are working together on the incidents.
