This week, however, the Hit Victoria Breakfast co-hosts will stay up late - and even, well, overnight - with their listeners.
On Thursday Tim and Jess will embark on a 27-hour radio marathon to raise money and awareness for Cancer Council NSW.
The radio marathon starts at 6am on Thursday and ends at 9am on Friday; there will be no sleep and little stepping away from the microphone for 27 hours straight.
Having worked together for the past five years including the past two in Albury, Jessica Pantou and Tim Bolch said they were up for the challenge, which they believed might be the only marathon of its kind done in regional radio.
With her gregarious laugh, Jess said she was looking on the bright side of things.
"We count ourselves lucky that we get along!" she said.
"But I'll be limiting my coffee intake to three for the shift."
The radio marathon forms part of Jess' fundraising campaign for Stars of the Border 2021 Dance for Cancer.
Jess said her co-worker had backed her all the way.
"When I suggested we broadcast for 27 hours straight, he said: 'Is there anything we could do in about 26 hours less!?" Jess quipped.
On a serious note, Tim welcomed the marathon, which would have special guests and surprises.
"I'm looking forward to raising awareness and having conversations that impact most of us in some way, shape or form," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS
Jess said the Stars of the Border 2021 fundraiser, which teamed 12 Border identities with 12 Border dance teachers, was more timely than ever.
"Even with the craziness of the past year, we know cancer doesn't stop so for 27 hours, we won't either!" she said.
"I'm really excited to be able to give back to the Border community that has already given me so much."
Jess will team up with Albury-based dance teacher Carly Campbell (Beatz Dance Studio) to perform a burlesque routine at Stars of the Border 2021 at Albury Entertainment Centre on Friday, May 14.
It will be Ms Campbell's third time joining Stars of the Border Dance for Cancer.
They will also host a Bubbles and Burlesque fundraiser at the Church St Hotel in Wodonga on Friday, April 23, from 5.30pm.
Listeners can hear Tim and Jess live from 6am Thursday until 9am Friday on the hit app and at hit.com.au.
