The 17-year-old boy appeared in court this week over the incident in Wangaratta last year.
The court heard he had gone to the fast food eatery about 11pm on August 24.
When the employee handed him his order, he threw the food at workers and spat on the drive-through window.
He left and returned 20 minutes later, armed with a milkshake and pumpkin soup, which he launched after being refused service.

He was intercepted and asked by police why he'd done it.
"I was mad because the girl f---ed up my order and put pickles on my burger," he said.
The teenager, who has since turned 18, was offered a diversion by police.
Diversions allow people to avoid convictions.
He has attended various programs, engaged with support services including headspace, and is doing an anger management course.
Magistrate Ian Watkins said it was "pretty appalling behaviour".
