The Jindera community ran its first all-town sale in 1999 and Mrs Hueske was one of the organisers.
"The committee at the pioneer museum saw Chiltern had a town one, and we thought, 'That's a good idea'," Mrs Hueske said.
"It's a good family day.
"I've got two boys on farms and they always accumulate stuff and bring it along."
Mrs Hueske will again open her home on Sunday along with more than 60 other families.
The Jindera Pioneer Museum ran the garage sale for three years before handing it over to St Mary's Church Jindera, which organised the event from 2002 to 2017.
In 2018, co-ordination of the event was handed over to Rural Care Link Jindera.
Greg Finster, who is involved in Rural Care Link and chairs the Jindera Community Forum, said the garage sale was an important fundraiser for the opportunity shop in town.
"We look after people in need through Rural Care link," he said.
"We run the local newspaper - it's only a small community, but it's building up."
Mr Finster said the success of the garage sale this year was made all the more important by COVID-19 restrictions placed on the op-shop last year.
"Last year we didn't raise the funds we normally do; it makes it hard when you totally rely on the sale of what we've got at the shop," he said.
Garage sale co-ordinator Leeny Mason said it was great to have people back in Jindera after the garage sale was cancelled for the first time in 2020.
"It was handed over to St Mary's at Jindera, and I had been the coordinator of it then, and now it's with the Rural Care Link," she said.
"I don't know another town that has 70 sites.
"We have two- to three-thousand people that come - you can't get a park.
"We really have a lot of visitors on the day.
"It's great - you get to see your neighbours."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mrs Hueske said as the township of Jindera had grown, so too had the town event.
"I know some people had friends who came up from Sydney they were that taken up with the place, but they can't buy a house," she said.
The garage sale, supported by many local businesses, will run from 8am to 3pm on Sunday.
Maps are available for $2 at the Rural Care Link Op-Shop, 83 Urana Street, opposite the IGA.
A big range of items will be for sale including saddles, old tools, furniture, books, baby-ware, clothes and plants, with local cafes open for food.
