The bark of Albury-Wodonga's most loyal radio personality will be heard no more.
The co-host of Swap Shop on 2AY, Harriet the golden retriever, shared her final moments with owner Andy Walker today after 16 great years.
Mr Walker said listeners immediately related to Harriet once he started integrating her bark into the show.
"I used to play it from time to time and have very brief conversations with her using the bark," he said.
"Being a golden retriever, they're such a people friendly dog, people related to her amazingly. We would have kids that would say 'send my love to Harriet' and 'what's Harriet up to?' and all the rest of it. She became a part of the conversation.
"At the Jingellic Pub we had a group of people that saw us walking across the lawn and they screamed out 'Harriet how are you'.
"She became quite an identity.
"So many people sent in so many beautiful pictures of golden retrievers, and messages about them, as a result of Harriet being a part of the show."

One of Harriet's favourite places was Noreuil Park, where she would immediately make a beeline for the river.
In her later years she had lost strength in her back legs, but a floaty enabled her to keep enjoying the river.
"She'd swim like she didn't have the floaty on, but she'd sink without it," Walker said.
"People would sit on the bank of the river and take photos of her in her yellow life vest."
Mr Walker said that from the moment he met Harriet as a puppy he knew they were soulmates.
"There was an immediate connection from a puppy. And she's not just been a lovely soul, but she's highly intelligent," he said of his loyal friend.
"I suppose you've got to be a dog person to understand and really appreciate it, but she'd understand what you say."
