Federal government officials will tour Albury and hold a public hearing to businesses about the challenges facing organisations who need to find and hire skilled migrants to fill job shortages.

Andrew Kotzur of Walla-based grain storage company Kotzur is due to speak at a public hearing of the Joint Standing Committee on Migration in Albury on Thursday.
Regional Development Australia's Riverina director Rachel Whiting, and Murray director Edwina Hayes will both share the experiences of businesses.

They will be joined by Andrew Fisher of InfraBuild Wire.
Committee chair Julian Leeser said businesses would provide a valuable perspective as many had been vocal about how hard it can be to fill jobs.
"The committee is looking forward to hearing from groups such as EY and CEDA who have considered this issue in details as well as exploring the practical difficulties faced by Australian business owners who have experienced navigating the skilled migration program," he said.
