A MAN is facing court on charges of attempted murder after an alleged stabbing in the Riverina earlier this year.
A 25-year-old man attended Leeton Hospital with stab wounds following an alleged altercation at a home on Gossamer Street, Leeton, about 3am on February 25.
Detectives allege two men, aged 25 and 27, were involved in a brief altercation and the younger man was stabbed in the chest by the older man.
The 25-year-old was later airlifted to Canberra Hospital for treatment to life-threatening injuries.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District made inquiries leading to the 27-year-old man's arrest on Docker Street, Wagga, shortly after 11.30am on Wednesday, April 21.
The Leeton man was charged with attempted murder and refused bail to appear in Griffith Local Court today.
Local detectives are also continuing to appeal for information into a ram raid in Leeton earlier this year.
Strike Force Irribin was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, where a white Toyota Hilux utility, painted in a camouflage design, was used to force entry to a licensed club on the corner of Acacia and Yanco avenues about 4.30am on January 28.
The vehicle drove through the club, causing extensive damage to the building and gaming machines.
Three men got out of the vehicle and attempted to steal an ATM before fleeing in the ute empty-handed.
Officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers. Various items were seized for further forensic analysis.
The ute, which had been reported stolen from a home in Yanco, was located on River Road, Yanco, about 6.30pm on January 29, and had been destroyed by fire. It was seized by police for forensic examination.
Investigations are continuing.
