
Spectators have voted with their feet they don't want night games in late April after Wangaratta hammered Corowa-Rutherglen by 71 points in front of a small crowd of around 500 on Saturday.
There's been a spate of twilight and night matches over the first five weekends and while clubs are naturally trying to cash in when there's no other clashing fixtures, the cooler weather is acting as a deterrent.
Next Saturday's Wodonga-North Albury game was scheduled as a night game, but it's now returned to a day fixture.
Albury is set to host Wangaratta in a twilight blockbuster next Saturday.
The Pies warmed up with a 16.15 (111) to 5.10 (40) win over the Roos.
Former AFL forward Callum Moore was again the story, kicking four goals with boom forwards Ben Reid and Michael Newton both injured, while Jessie Smith also bagged four.
