Mr Woo, who leads the NSW mathematics growth team, will run student engagement and staff development sessions at Albury High School.
The author, TV and YouTube presenter and 2018 Local Hero is visiting the schools of all members of his team, which includes Albury's Sarah Warry.
Mrs Warry said Mr Woo would work with students from years 9 to 12, including some from Murray and Tumbarumba high schools.
"He's very passionate about public education and about helping each and every student as individuals," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
As a trainer on the NSW mathematics growth team, Mrs Warry supports a cluster of high schools that include Murray, James Fallon, Corowa, Billabong and Tumbarumba.
She said the students were excited by Thursday's visit, having previously watched Mr Woo's online lessons, read his books or seen him on TV.
"We just want to lift engagement levels at the school in mathematics," Mrs Warry said.
"Hopefully just lift mathematical engagement, alleviate some mathematical anxiety, which is present among a lot of students, and ultimately improve mathematical outcomes for students."
