The release of the city's $159 million draft budget this week includes funding for improvements to Bunton Park's toilet facilities and repairs to the main building which was formerly operated by the North Albury Sports Club.
They have been put on the top of the list for $1 million to be spent across the city's ageing public toilets with other locations being the crematorium, Horseshore Lagoon and East Albury parkland.
A further $200,000 is being spent on lighting at Bunton Park.
"We've known for a long time some improvements to our facilities at Bunton Park were desperately needed," Hoppers president Tony Burns said.
"It's fantastic to see the money is in the budget and we can hopefully get them happening as soon as possible."

Cr Cameron previously said former Albury mayor and Ovens and Murray legendary administrator Cleaver Bunton would be aghast at the condition of the ground.
"It's a project that needed urgent attention," Cr Cameron said.
"But there is a lot more that needs to be done to bring the venue up to modern standards.
"I look forward to working with the club on those improvements into the future."
Late last year, the council took over management of Bunton Park following the demise of the sports club with a further $50,000 to be spent on fixing a leaking roof in the main building.
Meanwhile, more funding has been allocated for the Lavington Sportsground redevelopment in the 2021-22 draft budget.
There has been $800,000 allocated for stage three works including ticket box, main ground entry, secondary ground timekeepers facility, shade structures, netball upgrades, tree planting and landscaping and improvements to disability and general access around the site.
Another $80,000 will be spent on a canteen upgrade at the venue.
