The Border side was defeated 78-73 against Knox Raiders on Saturday before falling to Waverley Falcons by 12 points on Sunday.
Despite leading for parts of both games, Chalmers said the side now needs to work on extending their effort on court.
"It's just one of those things where we haven't quite been able to finish them off," he said.
"It's something we're going to have to address and work on.

"The best thing is we're right there, we just need to turn the corner and get a win."
While they have improved defensively on previous weeks, the Bandits only managed six points in the final quarter against the Falcons.
"That's just not going to cut the mustard," Chalmers said.
Bijan Johnson was unable to finish Sunday's game after suffering a knee injury, finishing with nine points and three rebounds.
Mitch Dance posted 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Albury's Jacob Cincurak scored 10 points.
