The suburbs with the greatest number of residents on JobSeeker were Wodonga and Lavington, with 1089 and 1324 residents respectively receiving the payment in March 2021.
There were 857 Wangaratta residents on JobSeeker as well as 283 from the Wangaratta region in March 2021, a total of 1140 for the area.

Across North East and Riverina a total of 10,150 people were on JobSeeker in March 2021, 569 fewer than in February.
The number of people on JobSeeker remains higher than it was in March 2020, when just 7892 residents received the payment.
About 1300 people received Youth Allowance in March 2021 compared to 1391 residents in February 2021, and 1032 in March 2020.
Wodonga, Lavington and Wangaratta have the most residents on Youth Allowance, with 210, 164 and 133 people respectively on the support, plus another 29 in the Wangaratta region.
