Morris Wines placed ninth in Big 7 Travel's list of the country's 25 best wineries, compiled by its travel team with feedback from about 7000 people.
"Rutherglen is blessed with cool nights, warm days and gloriously long, dry autumns," Big 7 Travel said.
"These climatic conditions give the wines a unique regional character."
Western Australian winery Leeuwin Estate in Margaret River led the poll.
"Australia is blessed with some of the best wine-growing conditions of any country and winemaking takes place in every state and territory," Big 7 Travel said.
Last year Morris Wines won awards at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
