The long-time chairman of the league's Hall of Fame admits the momentum could be taken away after a second successive year was wiped out due to COVID.

The HOF was introduced in 2005 with former Wangaratta Rovers' coach Bob Rose one of the inaugural inductees and it quickly became a winner.
"It's disappointing, but it's the world we live in at the moment," chairman Ron Montgomery revealed.
"I just hope we don't lose too much momentum."
There's been 87 inductees.
"We made the decision back in January to suspend HOF at the same time we decided not to participate in interleague," O and M chairperson David Sinclair said.
"The Board revisited that decision in April and again felt that due to the uncertainty of the current environment, we would be best to put the HOF function on hold.

"With no season in 2020 the Board made a conscious decision to invest all our energies into ensuring all of our clubs and the league had a successful Return to Play.
