RSPCA Albury's 4 Paws Walk involves timed tickets every five minutes so participants and their dogs can remain socially distant while walking around Noreuil Park and beside the Murray River.
The morning will also include prize giveaways, announcing the winners of the annual pet show, an information and merchandise tent, sausage sizzle and coffee van.
Branch president Arthur Frauenfelder said the walk aimed to raise awareness of the RSPCA's work and help people look after their pets properly.
"We're there to educate people to prevent cruelty, we're not there solely to prosecute people," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The long-running Million Paws Walk turned virtual last year, but the RSPCA Albury volunteers continued delivering their community programs.
Last year the branch rehomed 129 cats and dogs, provided veterinary care for 189 animals and desexed 437 cats and dogs, as well as two rabbits.
The volunteers also received more than 2000 calls for assistance, went on 10,000 walks with dogs whose owners were aged, disabled or incapacitated and provided 500 days of temporary boarding for pets whose owners were in hospital.
Dr Frauenfelder hoped people would embrace the Albury 4 Paws Walk.
"Get involved, have some fun and at the same time loosen up and relax," he said.
The 4 Paws Walk will be held on Sunday, May 23, between 9am and 1pm at Hovell Tree Park, Wodonga Place, Albury. The timed walks take place between 10am and noon.
Bookings can be made through Eventbrite.
