Leaders Savoy boast the league's meanest defence, conceding just four times in five games, while third-placed United have banged in 22 in their last four outings.
Victory could send the Greens top, with Wangaratta not playing this weekend, but unbeaten Myrtleford are once again proving a very tough nut to crack.
"It'll be a real tight one," said United midfielder Sam Brosolo. "I reckon it'll be decided in the last 20 minutes.
"It's the old saying, you've got the unstoppable force against the immovable object and you're not sure which one will come out on top.
"It's a real six-pointer for us and I'm really looking forward to it. I love the big games."
United trailed lowly Cobram 3-1 at half-time last Sunday but turned the game on its head with four goals in 17 minutes after the break, winning 6-3.
"We've had a few scares here and there but that's just shown our character to be honest," said Brosolo. "It shows a bit of determination among the group. We all want to work for each other, we work hard and we know that when we go out there, we're going to do our best for each other."
Brosolo netted twice in the win over Cobram and is starting to produce some of his best soccer having left his coaching position at Melrose shortly before the start of the season.
"It took me a while to get into it to be honest," he admitted. "But now that I've got a few games under my belt, I'm starting to hit a little bit of form.
"It wasn't too hard for me (coming into a new side) because I've played for United before and I knew most of the boys. It was just about going back to basics.
"When I left Melrose, I had a few clubs get in touch. Matt Campbell (United coach) messaged me and I thought that would probably be the best move for me to get back to soccer and start enjoying it again.
"We've got a strong core. Jimmy Carr's been scoring goals from centre-back, which always helps, and Caleb Martin and Kris Wheeler in the middle have been handy. Kris is a really good old head, he brings a lot of confidence and settles down the team very well.
"Up front, Melkie Woldemichael and Aidan Rees continue to work hard and Melkie's probably one of the hardest workers I've seen."

Myrtleford, a point clear of Wangaratta and United, were pushed hard by 10-man Albury Hotspurs last weekend but held on to win 3-2.
They've yet to drop a point at home this season.
"The next couple of weeks are going to be a big test for us, against Myrtleford and then Boomers," said United coach Matt Campbell. "Both teams are likely to be in the top three or four so it'll really show how we're going."
The league's bottom four could all make a move on Sunday, with St Pats going to Melrose and Wodonga Diamonds hosting Cobram. Albury City entertain Twin City and Boomers travel to Albury Hotspurs.
