President Jamie Lawrence said he advertised the trial day on Monday night and by Wednesday all of the spaces had been booked.
"The interest has been phenomenal," he said.
"I think we've got 24, we're booked out.
"But we'll probably do another one in June."
Mr Lawrence said attendees would be introduced to four categories of smallbore shooting: prone, air rifle, bench rest and a '3P' combined event.
"Safety is one of our biggest concerns," he said.
'We'll have range officers and one on one instruction with everyone that's there."
The club has 30 members, but is hoping to recruit more.
