James Jordon has been rewarded for a consistent start to the AFL season with Melbourne by being named the league's NAB Rising Star nomination this week.
The Yarrawonga export, in his third year at the club, made his debut for the Demons in round one and has played every game for the competition leaders in an undefeated start.
Jordon earned the nomination after a career-high 23 disposals, eight tackles and two marks in Melbourne's nine-point victory over Sydney on Saturday night at the MCG.

Jordon is the second Demon to be nominated for the Rising Star in 2021 and the second from the region, with Albury's Jacob Koschitzke the round five nominee after the Hawthorn forward booted five goals in a win against Adelaide.
As a result of Jordon's achievement, Yarrawonga received $2500 for its junior football club.
