Hockey Albury-Wodonga's under-18 girls representative side claimed gold at the Victorian Junior Country Championships in Melbourne at the weekend.

The team won its division in a nail-biting final against Goulburn Valley, 1-0, thanks to a goal from Ulrika Wild.
It wasn't to be for the association's under-18 boys, who fell 2-1 to Central Victoria (Bendigo) in the decider.
Both the under-13 teams made it to the gold medal play-off and came away with silver medals.
The boys lost to Ballarat, 3-1, despite having finished the pool phase on top of the ladder, while the girls went down 3-0 to Glenelg.

Hockey Albury-Wodonga's under-15 boys topped their pool, but lost the first finals crossover match and had to settle for third after a 3-1 win against Ballarat.
The under-15 girls were third in their pool and placed fifth overall.
Hockey Albury-Wodonga sport operations manager Cayte Campbell paid tribute to all involved.
"All the teams played well and showed some great sportsmanship," she said.
"Congratulations to the players, coaches and managers."
No club hockey was played across the weekend.
