A driver who hit nearly 190km/h with his four-year-old son and partner in his vehicle was convicted over a pursuit and reckless conduct offences just four months earlier.

The ice user also breached a court order banning him from having contact with the pair by using drugs as police used the air wing and a sniffer dog in a bid to find him.
At its peak, the police chase reached 185km/h.
The man drove the pair southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway before the trio fled the Toyota and ran into the Table Top National Park.
The 37-year-old offender smoked ice in the hills of the park during a major police search spanning six hours.
Despite the man's behaviour, he was taken into custody without incident while holding his son at a property on Knox Road.

He was compliant with police, admitted to his driving and admitted to using ice.

A police summary of the offending tendered to Albury Local Court shows the man was banned from driving for a year in Sunshine Magistrates Court on January 19.
An order was also issued a month earlier which banned the man from going within five metres of his son and partner if he had used drugs or alcohol in the previous 24 hours.
He is in custody after admitting to eight charges and will be sentenced on July 14.
The 37-year-old has a string of other matters pending in court at Sunshine.
The boy was taken into care and his mum taken to hospital.
