The Murray Bushrangers fell to Bendigo Pioneers for the second time this season with a 31-point defeat at Echuca yesterday.
Bendigo conceded the first goal but took charge after that to record a 12.12 (84) to 8.5 (53) victory.
The Bushrangers had 11 changes from their last outing, with Paddy Parnell and Daniel Turner picked up at the AFL mid-season draft, while no players 19 or older were permitted to play under COVID-19 rules.
Coach Mark Brown said his side wasn't clean enough with ball in hand and could never get control of the game.

Kade Chalcraft and Nick Brennan booted two each for the Bushies, while Noah Bradshaw was the standout in the midfield.
"I think he (Bradshaw) has had a really impressive first five games. At this stage he's our leading bottom-age mid," Brown said.
"He's played second fiddle to guys like Zavier Maher and Kade Chalcraft, but today he got his opportunity."
