Ruscomadan in Castle Creek Road has belonged to the Brady family since it was built in the early 1970s for renowned Wodonga chiropractor Alan and his wife Val, who have both passed away.

The property was designed by Alan's brother and architect, Graeme, and its name is a combination of the Bradys' four children, Russell, Scott, Martin and Sheridan.

Alan came to Wodonga from the U.S. in the mid-1960s and established Wodonga Chiropractic Centre at the northern end of High Street.

He died in 2005 with wife Val passing away in March last year.

A family friend and real estate agent, Pam Shaw from Elders Wodonga, has been given the job of selling the home built across four levels on 55 acres of land at the top end of Castle Creek Road.

"When it was first built it was definitely a major talking point in town," she said.

"As a good friend of the family I can remember coming out here and enjoying the many times we had here.

"At the time in 1971 it was considered out of town, but you can't say that now."

She said its standout features were its close proximity to Wodonga, spectacular views and once returned to its former glory the home would again be an entertainer's paradise.

Other features include indoor pool, tennis court and pool room with full size billiard table.

Internal timber beams were sourced from the original Union Bridge across the Murray River and the large open fire place on the second level was created from rocks sourced from the property.

Level two is arguably the most impressive with expansive formal living and entertaining room featuring floor to ceiling windows, built-in bar and timber lined ceilings.

A spiral stair case leads to level three where there are four bedrooms and on level four is the kitchen and main bedroom.

Mrs Shaw said she had conducted more than 20 inspections on the property in the last month with interest coming from potential buyers locally, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

It will be auctioned onsite by Elders Wodonga on Saturday at 11am after a clearing, garage sale beginning at 8am is scheduled.

The original auction date was postponed due to the latest COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria which had regional and metropolitan areas with matching restrictions.

Auctions in regional areas were given the green light to return last week.

But they remain off-limits to Melbourne residents due to travel bans put in place by the Victorian government for the Queen's Birthday holiday weekend.
