A: Nico is an absolute freak and he proved again why on the weekend. That's the first time he has played as a permanent forward and to kick six was huge for us.
Q: After a slow start to the season, it looks like the Saints are getting back to the form they are capable of?
A: That first-half last weekend is probably some of the best footy we have produced all season. We moved the ball really well and Matt Seiter and the midfield dominated the clearances.
Q: Internally, there is still a lot of belief that you can remain a finals force?
A: We have the utmost belief in ourselves and our list and the last couple of weeks the wheel has started to turn and are playing with a lot more confidence.
Q: Do you get sledged much on the field about your father Kevin?
A: Every now and then I'll cop a smart comment or two about dad but I just laugh it off and it's just a bit of fun really.
Q: Has Kade Stevens got a favourite player that is a bit of a coach's pet.
A: The coach's pet would have to be Darcy I'Anson. Being a loyal Burrumbuttock lad, Stevo rewarded him with the captaincy and is certainly one of his favourites.

FIXTURE
ROUND 9
SATURDAY, JUNE 12
CDHBU v Brock-Burrum
Culcairn v RWW Giants
Henty v Osborne
Jindera v Billabong Crows
Lockhart v Holbrook
Murray Magpies v Howlong
MATCH OF THE ROUND: CDHBU v Brock-Burrum
CDHBU proved no match for Osborne last week but the Power weren't the first and won't be the last side to cop a touch-up from the raging flag favourite this season. The Saints faced a must-win clash against Lockhart and responded accordingly with an easy victory but were flattered by a one-off appearance of Azzi medallist Nico Sedgwick. At home the Power will be primed for a bold showing but the Saints should have the class to secure another vital four points.
Verdict: Brock-Burrum by 15 points
