Wodonga and CR United's division one men have organised to play their round six clash, initially slated for last weekend, at Albury Hockey Centre on Sunday.
The competition has been on standby for two weeks due to COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria, but captain Ethan Albon said the Bulldogs are keen to get back out there.
"We haven't really been able to train, so there's a bit of a disadvantage on the Victorian side of things, but it will be good to see where we're at," he said.
"Having that year off, everyone was keen to be playing sport again, so to get back into it is really good.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"We're facing a team that's obviously been very strong and it's always tough competition against United. It will show us where we are in the pecking order after a couple of weeks off.
"Some boys are away because they already had plans for the long weekend, but we don't pride ourselves on individuals, we work as a team."
United won the previous clash between the two sides, 2-0, but Albon is confident Wodonga can match it with one of the benchmarks of the competition.
The game starts at 12.30pm.
A host of division two and division three men's and women's matches will also be played across the weekend.
There's no game for the Albury-Wodonga Spitfires due to a general bye for the Capital League.
