In a major surprise, Sedgwick called it quits on his Ovens and Murray career with Lavington during the week to return to the Saints where he has had so much success.
The pocket rocket has won three flags with the Saints as well as the Azzi medal in 2014.
Sedgwick set the Saints alight with five goals in the first-half as the 2019 grand finalists demolished their rivals in a 24.12 (156) to 8.4 (52) romp.
Liam McDonnell was handed the unenviable task of playing on Sedgwick after half-time but did well to restrict Sedgwick to three more goals for the match.
In another positive sign for the Saints, high-profile recruit Damian Cupido booted seven goals including four in the third-quarter before resting on the bench during the last quarter.
A dynamic duo like Batman and Robin minus the capes, Sedgwick and Cupido are set to provide defenders with plenty of headaches in the countdown to finals.
Sedgwick booted six goals last week in what was meant to be a cameo appearance for the Saints and now has 14 goals in two matches.
Premiership coach Kade Stevens praised the class of Sedgwick and revealed he would play as a permanent forward, at least in the short-term.
"Sedgie proved his undoubted class today and the plan at the moment is to play him as a permanent forward," Stevens said.
"His pace is deceiving and if he doesn't mark it, he is quick enough to crumb the ball.
"He is strong overhead and a classy finisher.
"That's what makes him so dangerous as a forward."
After starting the season 5-0 against the lesser lights of the competition the Power have been exposed against the heavyweights in the past fortnight after also losing by 100 plus points against Osborne.
Ruckman Callum Butler can hold his head high and is one of the few big men to lower the colours of Saints trump card Matt Seiter since he joined the Hume league in 2018.
Although Butler may have outpointed Seiter in their head-to-head battle the Saints midfielders dominated the clearances.
Ron Boulton, Tyson Neander and Willson Mack ensured the Saints won the contested possessions and provided plenty of opportunities for Sedgwick and Cupido.
After starting the season 1-3, the Saints have been building momentum the past month.
