With the match still up for grabs at the last change the Bulldogs dug deep when it counted to boot three goals to none in the final term on their way to a 7.10 (52) to 3.6 (24) victory.

The Bulldogs have been arguably the hardest hit by injuries in the opening half of the season.

But coach Andrew Wilson is hopeful the Bulldogs can pinch a few more wins in the second half of the year with better luck on the injury front.

"It was a little bit of reward for effort for the boys because they have been putting in the work on the training track but things haven't gone our way with our fair share of injuries," Wilson said.

"The last three weeks we had a tough draw against Osborne, Brock-Burrum and Holbrook who are the in-form sides of the competition.

"But the boys were committed to the contest today (Saturday) and got to belt out the club song again."
