An Albury aged care worker in need of a car has won a new Suzuki Vitara in an Australia-wide promotional competition.

To Peter Sanderink's absolute shock last month, he realised he had won the car after peeling off stickers resembling UNO cards from his Hungry Jack's meal.
"I was in Wodonga doing shopping, and went to grab something to eat, so I popped into Hungry Jack's on Victoria Cross Parade," he said.
"As I was eating, I peeled the ticket ... at first I thought, 'It can't be that easy', so then when I got home, I got on the website.
"I got this message saying I was the provisional winner.
"I walked up to my wife and said, 'I think I've won a Suzuki Vitara in a Hungry Jack's competition', and she said, 'No way!'."
The father-of-three and aged care nurse had to send in proof of his win, which happened only on the second day of the competition marking the 50-year anniversaries of the two brands.
"I had to verify it all and send pictures in of the ticket, but once that all happened, they contacted the dealership and touched base with me," he said.
"It will make a massive difference - we were actually in the market for a new car.
"We had car troubles with our second car and the one we're using now is nearly 20 years old.
"I've got three children and the eldest one is 18 - he is eyeing off the car as he has just got his P-plates."
Mr Sanderink, who grew up in Mount Beauty and has lived in Albury for 20 years, picked up the new car from Albury Wodonga Motorgroup on Friday.
Dealer principal Anthony Lind, who took over management of the Melbourne Road dealership in March, was pleasantly surprised to facilitate the prize-giving.
He said it was spectacular that out of 440 places in Australia with the chain's stores, it was Wodonga where the car-winning sticker was purchased.
"There's a marketing guy at Suzuki Australia called Rob Rosengarten, and he and I worked together at Polaris many years ago, so when Rob rang up, he said, 'It'd have to be you'," Mr Lind joked.
"We're re-establishing the name here - it used to be Brooks and now it's Albury Wodonga Motorgroup as part of our takeover.
"We're excited that we can secure something great for a local."
