Wodonga's Zoe Deacon capped off a strong week at the Australian Swimming Trials in Adelaide on Wednesday night with a sixth place finish in the final of the 200m breaststroke.

Deacon missed out on the Olympic qualifying time of 2.24.18 with an effort of 2.27.21
She was the fourth fastest qualifier for the national final after she posted a 2.28.36 in the second heat on Wednesday morning.
Queenslander Jenna Strauch won the event in a time of 2.23.12 and made her first Olympic team, while Abbey Harkin also qualified with a 2.23.59.

Deacon finished seventh in the final of the 100m breaststroke on Sunday night after she snuck in with the eighth fastest time from the heat swims.
It has been a difficult lead in to the trials for Deacon who was on the way back from injury and had been forced to prepare away from her training base at Nunawading due to the Victorian COVID-19 lockdown.
