A: I'm lucky the body is still being kind to me. It's funny, I now appreciate watching the kids develop and how much work the volunteers do each week to make the club such a great place to be part of.
Q: Wodonga Raiders' recruit Jack Chesser has been a revelation?
A: The boy can plan and is an excitement machine when in full-flight. Jack has slotted in really well and is an entertainer off the field and knows how to have a good time at functions.
Q: Your good mate Adam Prior has been playing a different role this season further up the ground?
A: Credit to Adsey for changing his role and playing more up the ground. He has dubbed himself the 'pressure forward' and now prides himself more on his tackling rather than goalkicking prowess.
Q: Finals is probably a longshot but no doubt you feel the Lions can shape the make-up of the final six?
A: Definitely we gave the Giants a bit of a scare on the weekend. We won't be throwing in the towel and keen to get the most we can out of the rest of the season.
Q: Who eats the most for tea at the clubrooms on a Thursday night?
A: It used to be 'Adsey' but he has slimmed down a bit. It's probably Isaac Campbell and Sam Welch. Both are Uni boys who love their cheap meals so that they have got more money for grog.
FIXTURE
ROUND 10
SATURDAY, JUNE 19
Brock-Burrum v Henty
Holbrook v CDHBU
Howlong v Culcairn
Billabong Crows v Lockhart
Osborne v Murray Magpies
RWW Giants v Jindera
MATCH OF THE ROUND: Brock-Burrum v Henty
Brock-Burrum were back to its ruthless best last weekend as the 2019 grand finalists handed CDHBU a 100-point plus pumping. The Saints gave Nico Sedgwick and Damian Cupido plenty of space inside 50m and the pair combined for 15 goals with Cupido coming up against his former side on Saturday. The Swampies keep proving the critics wrong but will need to go to another level to roll the Saints.
Verdict: Brock-Burrum by 23 points.
