Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga can help on Saturday when it features costume jewellery repairs in Wodonga.
Volunteer repairer Jan Hastings said people could bring their broken costume jewellery to Wodonga Senior Citizens Centre for inspection.
She said volunteers tried to fix a range of problems including restringing beads and replacing connections and clasps.
"We can restring beads onto wires," she said.
"We can put new clips onto the back of brooches and fix some problems with the linking in chains.
"We're happy to accept a challenge and with two of us doing the repairs we can work off each other and share tools."
A volunteer since the repair cafe's inception, Albury-based Ms Hastings said there was great satisfaction in helping people fix their sentimental jewellery.
"Often people will come in with something that belonged to their mother or nan," Ms Hastings said.
"It's not expensive but it's broken and they'd like it fixed because it means something to them.
"It's great fun to be able to do that for them.
"We can also show them how to fix it so it's satisfying for them to have a hand in it."
Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga volunteer repairers will also help people fix furniture, books, phones, tablets and laptops, clothing and battery-operated appliances.
Repair Cafe is a community-run initiative operating at Wodonga Senior Citizens Centre on the first Saturday of the month (excluding January) from 10am to 1pm.
It was postponed last month owing to Victorian restrictions.
Morning tea is provided.
