Ms Berejiklian said 'it hurts to say' but the lockdown would not end before July 30.
This includes home learning.
Ms Berejiklian emphasised that the restrictions would be in place for 'at least' two weeks.
She rebutted claims she left it too long to lockdown the state saying she followed public health advice.
"I have as many people saying we went too early as saying we went too late," she said.

NSW recorded 97 new locally-acquired COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday, 24 of whom were infectious in the community.
Ms Berejiklian said the government wants the number of people infectious in the community to be zero before lockdown lifts.
71 people are in hospital with the virus, 20 in ICU.
