63 of the cases are linked to known clusters; 49 are household contacts and 14 are close contacts.
The source of 34 cases remains under investigation.
Ms Berejiklian said regional NSW had done exceptionally well containing the outbreak to Sydney and staying out of lockdown.
She asked Greater Sydney residents not to 'sneak out' to the regions.
"The regions have done exceptionally well in not having cases of the virus," she said.
Dr Kerry Chant said it was very concerning 29 cases had been infectious in the community and it was also concerning cases were emerging without clear links to existing clusters.
"Every time you leave the house this weekend, please consider the person you come in contact with might have COVID," she said.
"My vision for this weekend is very much stay-at-home."
Dr Chant said 75 people were in hospital, 18 in ICU and five on ventilators.
NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys said in the next 72 hours police will be focusing on people leaving Greater Sydney under false pretenses.
He said everyday police were intercepting people who said they were going on a work trip but had holiday gear like caravans with them.
Ms Berejiklian the numbers will continue to rise tomorrow given the number of cases who were infectious in the community.
She said every day on an hourly-basis health officials and the government were reviewing the restrictions in place.
Ms Berejiklian said she would not hesitate to take further action to get cases down.
"If we need to go harder of course we will," she said.
"We need to make sure any measures in place hit the mark."

Yesterday, Ms Berejiklian warned COVID case numbers were likely to rise with so many infectious people remaining in the community.
She said Sydney lockdown would only end when the number of people in the community while infectious reached zero, or close to.
