The 35-year old will next season join premiership coach Marc Duryea 2001-05 as the equal third longest coach.
Only Chris King 1920-23 and 1925-26 and Brian Prior 1961-66 have had longer stints at the helm of the Brookers.
Sharp, who took over from Adrian Whitehead at the end of 2017, led the Brookers to third (2018) and fifth (2109) before losing in the second week of the finals on both occasions.
Last season was lost to COVID-19.
The Brookers have an iron-fisted grip on the double chance come September with a 11-1 record.
"It was an easy decision for me to commit and I'm pretty stoked and honoured to be able to lead the club for another season," Sharp said.
"I'm fortunate to have a young, talented list and I'm just rapt to be part of their development for at least another season.
"We have put ourselves in a strong position to progress deep into September.
"I love the club, the supporters and what the club stands for and there is a really good culture and it's a place that you just want to be a part of."

Sharp conceded it was rare for a coach to spend five years in the top job at the one club.
"History says five years is a long time as coach which I'm fully aware of," he said.
"I'll be looking to challenge myself again over the next pre-season in regards to different training drills and a different game style and keep things fresh."
President David Morton praised Sharp for transforming the Brookers into a finals force.
"To Sharpie's credit he has been able to fast-track the kids' development and is a highly popular figure around the club," Morton said.
"He leads by example is having another dominant season in the midfield and doesn't waste a disposal."
