Liam Forrest left Albury bound for Wagga as part of a Riverina loop that will include Narrandera, Deniliquin, Mulwala and Corowa before returning home.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Trust fund chair Michelle Hensel said the ride began in the rain and similar conditions were expected ahead.
"I encourage members of our rural communities who come across Liam on the road to please give him a toot or a few words of encouragement to keep him going," she said.
"This is actually a really appropriate course given that many of our patients travel from those regions to access services at the cancer centre."
Hoping to raise $5000 this time, Mr Forrest is nearly halfway towards his target.
