Ja Joe Kevon William Delphin, 30, was arrested by police armed with assault rifles and shotguns at a unit in Moore Street.
He was wanted for domestic violence matters, with police executing a firearms prohibition order during the operation.
Delphin appeared in court on Friday where he pleaded guilty to contravening an order and disqualified driving, and not guilty to assault and driving charges.
He will return on October 1.
The court heard the contested matters could end up being resolved before a hearing.
