New picnic table bench seats and a barbecue area are among the plans for Tamgambalanga Tennis Club after it was awarded a $10,000 community grant this month.
A host of the club's members were affected by the bushfires which tore through the North East in 2020 and the grant is welcome news to further enhance the vital social hub for the Tangambalanga community.
The club has indicated it will use the funds to purchase new picnic table bench seats, a chilled drinking fountain and also construct a barbecue area for the club's patrons.

The grant initiative is an extension of Hot Shots, which is Tennis Australia's modified starter program for children - using smaller courts, lower nets, lighter racquets and low compression balls to make the sport suitable for all abilities.
In the four years of the program, $700,000 in grants have been awarded to 70 tennis communities across Australia.
