The Magpies announced tonight the former Collingwood player would lead the Ovens and Murray club in 2022 and 2023.
Reid will also take on a marketing role with the club.
Stone will stay on at Norm Minns Oval in an assistant-coaching capacity.
Reid has kicked 27 goals in seven matches for Wangaratta this season.
