The Cats were scheduled to take on Kiewa-Sandy Creek for an away game.
But with no crowds allowed and the league's football not being played, Renshaw said it just wasn't feasible for families or volunteers.
"For families that normally bring their kids, it just wasn't the same community approach," Renshaw said.

"It makes it hard on those that rely on the support of the community while they're playing.
"It was a bit hard to fill all of the positions needed."
The Cats weren't the only club feeling the strain, with Wahgunyah also pulling the pin on their match with Dederang Mt Beauty.
Renshaw is hopeful the club's netballers will return this weekend, with the Cats to take on Beechworth at home.
