A former worker at the Wangaratta Auto Wreckers has reflected on the business, which closed down last month, after 70 years of operation.

Stephen Pyle worked at the wrecking businesses for about four years dismantling cars and putting the parts on the shelves.
"I really enjoyed it," he said.
"I just like pulling parts off cars, it's interesting."
He said the highlight for him was going in every day and working with "the blokes that I got along well with".

The Auto Wreckers has changed hands multiple times in its 70-year history, but this time when owners Allan and Kim White moved on to other things, they decided it was time for the wreckers to close permanently.
Mr Pyle said people buying car parts through the internet and the impacts of COVID-19 had killed the business.
