The O and M has one round left to play and while the league will naturally be sweating on any news this week, it appears the final round will be scrapped.
"We've only just received the news of course, but you would have to think we wouldn't play next week," O and M chairperson David Sinclair said while watching the Wangaratta Rovers-Corowa-Rutherglen A grade netball game, where his daughter Olivia was playing.
"We have a board meeting on Monday night, so we'll see where we go from there."
There's already a host of 'unofficial' suggestions, but they vary from trying to get the season done as quickly as possible to perhaps putting the season back a week, to allow an extra week for potential restrictions to be lifted or eased.
Either way, it's suddenly become much more difficult to finish the year, which started with so much hope.
