Yesterday marked yet another Vietnam Veterans' Day marred by COVID-19 restrictions, but Albury RSL sub-branch president Graham Docksey still stood in silence for those who had been lost.
"We're so grateful to be able to at least sound the bells for the 14 local veterans that died during their service," Mr Docksey said.

Father Peter MacLeod-Miller said that amidst restrictions and even current world events, ceremonies such as this were all the more necessary, even in a reduced form.
"We are here in our own way and even though there are many restrictions about, remembrance has never been so important," he said.
"Every name on our roll has a human story.
"They're connected with families and the community and a community is diminished as we lose people like that.
"You cannot help but to ring bells with what is happening in Afghanistan."
