Deputy Premier John Barilaro said COVID continues to be detected across regional NSW.
He said 22 cases were detected in Western NSW, 21 in Dubbo.
Cases were also detected in Goodooga, Bourke, Gilgandra, Wilcannia and Broken Hill.
On the central coast two cases were detected, three were detected in the Hunter New England region, one in the nid North Coast.
Two new cases were reported in Queanbeyan in the 24 hours to 8pm, which were revealed in yesterday's press conference.
Since 8pm yesterday two new cases have been recorded in Goulburn.
PREVIOUSLY:
NSW has recorded 642 cases of locally acquired COVID-19 cases and four deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.
Three of the four people who died with COVID-19 had one dose of the vaccine.
132,000 COVID vaccines were delivered in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Of the new cases 71 were infectious while in the community, 65 were in isolation throughout their infectious period and the isolation status of 506 is unknown.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the state needs to do everything they can to reduce case number and increase vaccination rates.
Ms Berejiklian said from Monday at midnight the Greater Sydney lockdown would be extended until the end of September.
From Monday, masks should be wore outdoors at all time, apart from while exercising, across all of NSW.
Ms Berejiklian said she fears for the local government areas of concern.
Curfews have been introduced from 9pm to 5am in areas of concern.
Vaccines will be mandated for childcare and disability care workers.
Across the border in NSW, Victoria recorded 55 new locally acquired cases and two hotel quarantine case.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Of the new locally acquired Victorian cases, 30 were infectious while in the community and 49 are linked to known outbreaks.
Yesterday, the NSW government announced the seven-day lockdown of regional areas would be extended to 14 days.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian acknowledged there were vast areas of regional NSW without cases but said they were taking a precautionary stance.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro said new cases had been detected in parts of regional areas including Queanbeyan and Goulburn in southern NSW.
Mr Barilaro said the case numbers were growing in western NSW, far west and southern parts of NSW.
