The Canberra Racing Club was forced to abandon its meeting on Friday due to on-going COVID-19 restrictions in the ACT.
NSW based jockeys who regularly ride at Thoroughbred Park are unable to make the trek to Canberra leading to a jockey shortfall.
Chief executive officer Steve Hetherton said Albury was happy to accommodate Racing NSW's request to race on Friday.
The meeting will coincide with the running of the $200,000 Wyong Cup.
"Unfortunately Canberra can't race at the moment so Racing NSW asked us to switch our meeting to Friday," Hetherton said.
"Traditionally, Friday meetings are a lot better from a turnover perspective so it should benefit the club in that regard.
"The Wyong meeting will obviously be the focus in NSW with the club staging its cup."

Crowds are still unable to attend meetings in NSW.
However, Hetherton remains confident that patrons will be able to attend meetings during the spring and lead-up to Christmas.
The club will host meetings on October 9 and 23 with a Friday twilight meeting on November 5.
There are two festive meetings on December 4 and 11 with a non-TAB meeting on Boxing Day.
"I'm confident crowds will be allowed back on course and are planning for it to go ahead," he said.
"We are taking bookings and offer a full refund if crowds are still banned."
