
L-platers with licences that expire while COVID-19 health restrictions are in place will have a wait before they get behind the wheel again.
Driver testing in regional NSW has been suspended until September 10 in response to the latest health advice and risks associated with COVID-19, Service NSW reports.
The agency was making every effort to contact affected customers and rebook driver tests, and apologised for any inconvenience, a spokesperson said.

The spokesperson has also confirmed learner licences that expire while health restrictions are in place are not being extended.
"However customers will be able to resit their driver knowledge test at no charge once restrictions are lifted," the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said Service NSW would announce plans for working through the backlog and returning to normal service levels as soon as it is safe and practicable to do so.
